Payment and Refund Terms

Booking Confirmation

  • A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total fee is required to secure the date for all celebrant services (weddings, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, naming days, funerals & memorials).

  • For weddings, the deposit must be paid within 7 days of lodging the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) and the invoice issue date.

  • If payment is not received within this timeframe, the booking will lapse and the date may be released.

  • Extensions or partial payments may be considered at the celebrant’s discretion upon request.

Payments

  • Payments may be made via direct deposit or PayPal.

  • Bank details will be supplied on the invoice(s).

  • The final balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the ceremony or event date.

Postponements

  • If a wedding or event is postponed and the celebrant is available for the new date, the 50% booking deposit will be transferred as credit towards the new booking.

  • If the celebrant is unavailable on the new date, the deposit will be forfeited.

  • An administration fee of $100 will apply to cover new documentation and additional communications.

Changes to Venue or Time

  • Any change to the agreed venue and/or ceremony time must be communicated to the celebrant immediately.

  • The celebrant will make every effort to accommodate the change. However, if a clash occurs with another booking, or if the new venue requires significantly more travel, renegotiation of fees or a partial/full refund may be applied.

Cancellations

  • If a ceremony is cancelled at least 30 days before the booked date, all payments made will be refunded minus the 50% booking deposit.

  • If a ceremony is cancelled within 30 days of the event, no refund will be given.

  • The celebrant may, at her discretion, offer partial refunds in exceptional circumstances.
